Surprising WWE Star Sent Message Of Support To Kenny Omega
Kenny Omega will always go to bat for a top WWE star.
In the days after wrestling Ethan Page at the December 5, 2023, taping for Collision, it was revealed that Kenny Omega would be taking a break from the ring after being diagnosed with diverticulitis.
Although he initially hoped to avoid it, Omega was forced to undergo surgery, and he spent more than a year out of the ring. Despite his determination to wrestle again, there were very real fears that his wrestling career was over.
Thankfully, the former AEW World Champion eventually returned to the ring at Wrestle Dynasty in January 2025 and continues to perform at the top of his game.
On his Twitch stream, Omega revealed that during his absence, WWE star Bayley reached out to offer a message of support. This is despite the pair having never met.
“Wrestling is a funny business and sometimes people only care about you when you’re useful to them. Not sometimes, most of the time.
If, for whatever reason, you’re taken out of the game, you’re not needed. Who cares about you? Especially if you’re considered the competition, which is why I can say Bayley is an incredible human being. I’ve never met her.
As far as I know, aside from the Xavier Woods’ of the world, I don’t know if there is a common thread there between us, but she gave me a message when I was going through my diverticulitis, hoping for a speedy recovery. That’s how you know a very genuine, good person, good human being.
I could never ever say anything bad of Bayley and I would always stick up for her in any situation, even though it’s not someone I’ve ever met in real life. It meant a lot in that moment for somebody to reach out. Generally, when people are considered your competition, you’re happy they are gone. You’re taught to be happy that they’re gone,”
Kenny Omega Hits Out At Rossy Ogawa
During the same stream, Kenny Omega criticised Marigold boss Rossy Ogawa for a series of bizarre comments in a recent interview.
While discussing his roster, Ogawa said her would like to see top star Utami Hayashishita “show a toned body.” He had initially suggested that it would be difficult for her to find the same level of success with Marigold compared to her run with Stardom.
Back in 2024, Omega publicly called out Ogawa, suggesting there were some very negative stories hovering in the background. The AEW star also pointed to Omega’s history of recruiting young girls for “very revealing swimsuit calendars and books.”
