A star believes Shayna Baszler deserves credit for sending Ronda Rousey to a “lesser company.”
Ronda Rousey wrestled her last match for WWE at SummerSlam in a losing effort to real-life close friend Shayna Baszler. At the time it was believed Rousey would be taking a break from the ring and might have even retired.
However, in recent weeks she popped up in two matches, the second of which took place in Ring of Honor.
Back in WWE, Baszler has looked to get herself back into title contention, challenging for the Women’s World Championship along with Zoey Stark, Raquel Rodriguez, and Nia Jax at Crown Jewel.
During a recent interview, Jax was asked about facing Baszler as the pair have an extensive history, having won the Women’s Tag Team Titles twice. During the conversation with Q1057, Jax said Baszler deserves credit for sending Rousey to a lesser company.
“She is a great expert at her Judo moves, she is a former UFC fighter. She did take out Ronda Rousey. Ronda Rousey just got sent to a whole other company lesser than us. Shayna does get credit for that.
Being so close to her and knowing her every move, I definitely have some good counters. I’m a lot stronger than her. A lot more powerful. I think I’ll be okay,”
Is Ronda Rousey Going To Sign With AEW?
Despite her dalliance with Ring of Honor, there are no plans for Ronda Rousey to sign with AEW. The report noted that Rousey’s recent return to the ring was more to do with doing a favour for Marina Shafir. Rousey is expected to step away from the ring once again in order to spend more time with her family.
