Massive WWE Star Admits He’d Sell His Soul To The Rock

The Rock WWE Raw

The storyline involving The Rock and Cody Rhodes unfolded prominently in early 2025, generating significant buzz across WWE programming.

Beginning on the February 28, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown, The Rock made a dramatic appearance, urging Cody Rhodes to “sell his soul” and become The Rock’s Corporate Champion.

The Final Boss positioned himself as a powerful force within WWE, leveraging his role as a board director of TKO Group, which owns WWE, and offering Rhodes a dominant, lucrative path to elevate his career. The proposal came with an ominous deadline: The American Nightmare had to decide by the Elimination Chamber event on March 1, 2025, in Toronto, Canada.

Despite The Rock’s enticement, Cody Rhodes resisted the offer, determined to uphold his integrity and stand as a true face of WWE. This refusal escalated tensions and laid the foundation for a major conflict. The storyline took a dramatic twist when John Cena accepted The Rock’s deal and sold his soul to The Brahma Bull, turning heel in the process.

Cena’s betrayal saw him facing Cody Rhodes in a high-stakes match at WrestleMania 41 on April 20, 2025. He beat Rhodes to become the 17-time World Champion, and his victory marked a significant shift in dynamics on WWE’s grandest stage.

However, over the summer, Big Match John transitioned back to a babyface role around SummerSlam season, while Cody Rhodes remained a steadfast hero, fueling ongoing storylines of rivalry and redemption.

Kevin Owens Ready To Sell His Soul To The Rock

Adding further complexity, former WWE writer Brian Gewirtz, who collaborates closely with The Rock and Seven Bucks Productions, revealed on WWE Unreal a potential plan where WWE had decided to book Kevin Owens to accept The Rock’s offer, defeating Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship at Elimination Chamber.

The Prizefighter himself responded eagerly on social media, stating he would have taken the offer.

Owens tweeted, “I would have done it in a heartbeat!”

Owens’ last WWE match took place on March 1, 2025, at the Elimination Chamber, where he faced Sami Zayn in a brutal unsanctioned match, securing the victory.

KO has been sidelined since April 2025 due to a serious neck injury that forced him to pull out of high-profile matches, including a scheduled WrestleMania 41 bout against Randy Orton. In July 2025, Owens underwent successful spinal fusion surgery to address his neck injury.

Although the operation went well, at NASCAR’s 2025 Coke Zero Sugar 400 event, Owens expressed uncertainty about his in-ring future, explaining that recovery and bone healing will determine his potential return to wrestling.
