WWE Star Says Match With Gunther “Proved They Belong”

GUNTHER

A WWE star has reflected on the night he took Gunther to the limit.

After three years on the indie scene, Nathan Frazer joined WWE in 2021 as part of the NXT UK roster. The star became a regular on the brand, with bouts against the likes of Sha Samuels, Mark Andrews, and Noam Dar.

However, there is one match that Frazer believes put him on the map, his January 2022 bout against Gunther. The bout was the last time the Ring General appeared in the UK brand, and Frazer wanted it to be a memorable one. Over 15 minutes, Frazer took the fight to Gunther more than anyone expected, and although he fell to the Imperium leader, he finally made his mark on WWE.

Replying to a post about the match on social media, Frazer said it was the match where he proved to himself that he belonged in the company.

“The night I proved to myself that I belong.”

Nathan Frazer followed Gunther to the US version of NXT in March 2022. Since the move, he has won the Heritage Cup and is currently a Tag Team Champion alongside Axiom.

WWE Legend Praises Gunther

The Undertaker has explained why Gunther is “his guy.” As well as praising the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion for his in-ring skills, The Deadman revealed that he has a special connection to his son, who is “fascinated” by the star.

Undertaker went on to say that the star can not only work, but also knows how to tell a story in the ring, things that mean The Phenom is “real high” on him.
