WWE Star Rushed To Hospital With Punctured Lung

It was a very bad night for The Judgment Day on WWE Raw as one member of the group ended up in hospital after suffering a serious injury.

The January 27 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw opened with a World Tag Team Title match as the War Raiders put their gold on the line against JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio. And things went wrong in a hurry.

Early in the bout, McDonagh attempted a springboard moonsault to the outside and ended up cracking the back of his head against the announce table. Michael Cole on commentary sounded very concerned as he pleaded for McDonagh to be checked on by a doctor.

JD McDonagh Out With Punctured Lung After WWE Raw

JD McDonagh was able to continue the bout which was won by the War Raiders. Those in the building have reported that McDonagh collapsed as he got backstage. Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer reported that McDonagh had been taken to hospital but rather than his head or neck, it seems McDonagh’s issues were elsewhere.

Taking to social media, JD McDonagh revealed that he suffered broken ribs and a punctured lung in the match and suggested he’ll be missing for a while:

First off, thanks to everyone for the messages and the concern. I’m good. I’ve got a couple of broken ribs and a punctured lung, so I’m going to be out for a couple months. All things considered, it could have been a lot worse, so I’m grateful for that. See ya in a bit.
