Tonight’s episode of SmackDown has witnessed the return of a huge WWE star.

Jacob Fatu was involved in a storyline with Solo Sikoa and his MFTs for several weeks. However, he was last seen on WWE TV when he helped Sami Zayn defeat Sikoa to capture the United States Championship on the August 29 episode of SmackDown.

The Samoan Werewolf then quietly disappeared, sparking rumors about his status. Fightful Select recently reported that the former United States Champion was not supposed to miss much time, noting that his return was imminent.

Jacob Fatu Goes After Drew McIntyre On WWE SmackDown

During tonight’s show, Drew McIntyre headed to the ring, wearing a medical boot on his right leg, alluding to being injured after kicking the announce table at Wrestlepalooza during his match against Cody Rhodes. The Scottish Warrior complained about the referee, claiming he was the reason he lost to The American Nightmare.

McIntyre’s promo was interrupted by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, who demanded that The Scottish Warrior stop making excuses. He also wondered about the medical boot the former WWE Champion was wearing, stating that it was not from the WWE medical team.

Aldis also made it clear to McIntyre that his allegations that he was not WWE Champion due to corruption were untrue, pointing out that the referee’s decision is final, and he was done with it.

As Aldis left, McIntyre remained in the ring complaining before Jacob Fatu shockingly returned after 28 days to confront him. The Samoan Werewolf told The Scottish Warrior to stop blaming others for his shortcomings. The two then had a brief war of words that quickly turned physical when the former World Heavyweight Champion hit Fatu with a Glasgow Kiss.

The former United States Champion quickly came back with a superkick. He then stripped McIntyre of his medical boot and hit him in the head with it, leaving The Scottish Warrior flat on the mat.
