WWE Star Returns As Faction Faces Final Battle

One WWE star is back as one faction gets ready to explode once and for all.

At NXT Stand & Deliver, The Family faced DarkState in a six-man tag team match. DarkState was able to pick up the win after Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo betrayed Tony D’Angelo, nailing his boss with a low blow.

As The Family imploded, Adriana Rizzo was sent to the mattresses and out of harm’s way while Luca Crusifino initially tried to show loyalty to Tony D’Angelo. That loyalty extended to getting D’Angelo a match for the vacant NXT Heritage Cup, where he’d face Lorenzo once again.

On the June 24th edition of NXT, that match took place, and it was laced with controversy. Lorenzo and D’Angelo were level at one fall apiece heading into the final round when Luca Crusifino proved decisive. One of Lorenzo’s henchmen tried to use a spit bucket as a weapon, but Crusifino blocked it.

Crusifino inadvertently nailed D’Angelo with the bucket as he tried to disarm the thug. A Shining Wizard for Lorenzo then allowed him to pick up the win and the NXT Heritage Cup.

The Family Set For Final Battle In WWE

On the July 1st edition of NXT, things finally came to a head. Crusifino and D’Angelo were hashing things out before Lorenzo made his presence felt. It looked like Crusifino had made his choice as he decked D’Angelo. However, he then turned his attention to Lorenzo and dropped him as well before declaring that his only loyalty was to himself.

Now, on the July 8th edition of NXT, Adriana Rizzo has returned as she looks to put an end to the family feud once and for all. Rizzo told all three men that they would take part in a “final battle” on the 15th of July edition of NXT.
