There’s been some positive injury news for WWE.

Back in February, Apollo Crews underwent surgery for a torn pec after getting injured during a match on SmackDown. At the time, the star said that the incident was “beyond his control.”

Crews’ last match was against Johnny Gargano on the January 24 edition of the blue brand.

Fast forward to August, and Crews has resumed his in-ring training while working out at The Dungeon, headed up by Natalya and TJ Wilson. In a video posted on social media, Crews can be seen wrestling Eli Knight.

Unfortunately for WWE, the company is still missing the likes of Liv Morgan, Chad Gable, and Kevin Owens, and will do so for several months. After undergoing a serious neck operation, Owens has admitted he’s unsure whether he’ll ever be able to wrestle again.

In more positive news, Gunther is expected to be available soon after undergoing surgery on a “nose issue.” The star hasn’t wrestled since losing the World Heavyweight Championship to CM Punk at SummerSlam.

Natalya Looking To Bring New Persona To WWE

As well as helping train up-and-coming stars and those coming back from injury at The Dungeon, Natalya has spent 2025 reinventing herself.

For the first time since signing with the company back in 2007, she’s begun taking bookings outside of WWE. This has seen her land in GCW twice, while also competing in the NWA and Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling.

During these appearances, the star has been billed as “Nattie Neidhart” while wrestling in all-black gear and showcasing a much more vicious character. During a recent interview, Natalya revealed that she also wants to use that persona in WWE, but only if it’s handled properly.

The veteran added that she’s taken inspiration from Mick Foley when it comes to switching between characters.
