WWE Star Reflects On 4 Year Wait For PLE Chance
One WWE star has opened up after being forced to wait four years before getting their chance to compete on a PLE.
Between Raw, SmackDown, NXT, and AAA, there are more major events than ever taking place under the WWE umbrella. Survivor Series is next up for the WWE main roster stars as WarGames returns with two huge matches set to take place in the double-ring steel cage bout.
NXT’s last PLE was Halloween Havoc and proved to be a landmark show in more ways than one for one WWE star.
Tatum Paxley Thrilled By WWE PLE Debut
Tatum Paxley defeated Jacy Jayne to capture the NXT Women’s Championship, but even more remarkably, the match was Paxley’s first PLE bout in the company despite being there for four years.
In a backstage vlog from the night of Halloween Havoc, Paxley reflected on her rise to the top of WWE’s women’s division as she made the most of her PLE chance:
Four years I have been in NXT, and I have gone to pay-per-views, I’ve done pre-show for Stand & Deliver, but I have never had a match, a singles title match specifically, but any match, on a pay-per-view before.
For me specifically to get this opportunity shows that anybody, and I mean anyone, can get there, can get to the top. I feel like I’m one of those people that people might not have ever seen getting a title shot before, then all of a sudden it’s like bam!
I’ve been working so hard for this so now it’s just showing everybody that you absolutely can do this, you can get to the top like this, you just gotta work hard and be patient and trust time. I have learned to trust time and the process of how long it takes to get places and it’s just, I’m so grateful and ready. Right now I’m ready.
