A WWE superstar made his return to the ring on Monday Night Raw in London.

Tyler Bate has been a part of the WWE roster since 2016, when he was just 19 years old. After long stints on the NXT UK brand and NXT, Bate was called up to the main roster in January 2024.

During his first six months on the main roster, Bate formed a tag team with fellow British wrestler Pete Dunne and they were given the team name of New Catch Republic.

Unfortunately for Bate, he suffered a torn pectoral injury in July 2024 that required surgery and a lengthy rehab process. It was reported in early February that Bate was close to returning, and WWE chose to save it for when Raw was in his home country.

On WWE Raw was in London, Raw GM Adam Pearce announced that New Catch Republic was back in action because Bate was back in the ring for his first match in about nine months as he teamed up with Pete Dunne against The New Day.

The crowd was solidly behind the New Catch Republic on Raw, but The New Day was crafty and managed to pick up the win while using the double foot stomp/backbreaker combo called Daybreak on Dunne for the win.

The New Day Wants Shot At WWE World Tag Team Titles

After the match, The New Day were interviewed by Cathy Kelley in the aisle. Woods said of course they deserve a title shot, and they want the title shot now. Kofi said they deserve that title match for the World Tag Team Titles.

The War Raiders duo of Erik & Ivar made their entrance as the World Tag Team Champions to have a staredown with The New Day.

While no title match was announced yet, it seems like the War Raiders and The New Day are on a collision course of a future World Tag Team Title match.
