WWE Star Pulled From Roster; Stepping Away From The Ring

Triple H WWE

One WWE star has been removed from the active roster in the company after they made the shock announcement that they were stepping away from the ring.

Ridge Holland has had a tough time in recent months since returning to NXT. Holland infamously performed the suplex in 2022 that saw Big E break his neck and the former WWE Champion has been unable to return to the ring since.

Holland’s return to NXT saw that accident played on with the star seemingly injuring Ilja Dragunov as his conscience ate away at him.

Now on the 26th of March edition of NXT, Ridge Holland made the shock announcement that he was stepping away from the ring. As a result, WWE.com saw the star moved from the active roster to the alumni section but it seems all of this is just to continue Holland’s current storyline.

Ridge Holland Still Part Of WWE

Fightful Select has reported that NXT sources confirmed that Holland’s announcement was part of his current storyline meaning that he will be returning to the ring at some point.

Holland is said to have been motivated to pursue this current storyline and is said to be receptive to suggestions. Despite fan backlash to the storyline, there is not believed to be a similar feeling from a creative or talent point of view.
