WWE Star Pulled From Raw

One WWE star scheduled for Raw ended up being pulled from the show.

As has been the custom in recent weeks, there were major changes made late in the day ahead of WWE Raw. The blame for a lot of changes to the show has fallen at the door of Vince McMahon but there is no confirmation that he was behind one star missing out on a match on Raw.

PWInsider has reported that before Raw went on the air two matches were taped for Main Event that saw Nikki Cross face Indi Hartwell and Tegan Nox taking on Xia Li. However, originally, Nox was scheduled to answer Becky Lynch’s open challenge on Raw but that spot ended up going to Natalya.

The report noted that another change on Raw saw the Ricochet vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match pushed back to allow “more star power” later in the show as World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins was also involved in that bout.

Natalya receives praise from WWE management

Fightful Select reported that Natalya has received heavy praise for stepping up to wrestle twice on Superstar Spectacle recently when Becky Lynch was refused travel to India. Lynch had been due to face Zoey Stark on the show but she was replaced by Natalya who also wrestled Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley later in the night.

A triple threat match had been considered which would have seen Zoey Stark inserted into the title match but Natalya made the offer to compete twice. A WWE higher-up noted that her actions displayed leadership and really helped the company out of a tricky situation.
