Top WWE Star Says They’re Proof The Performance Center Works

Triple H WWE Performance Center

The WWE Performance Center has changed the game.

Although WWE had been using developmental territories and promotions for decades, things went to a whole new level in 2012.

After it was initially launched as a reality TV series, that June, NXT became the company’s main developmental promotion after the closure of Florida Championship Wrestling. Meanwhile, the Performance Center was opened a little under a year later, giving the company its own in-house training facility to train stars of the future.

This pathway has since been expanded with the launch of Evolve and LFG, and the introduction of NIL contracts.

Tiffany Stratton Proud Of WWE Developmental

During a new interview with PHL17’s Daisha Jones, Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton discussed the impact NXT had on her career and the company’s wider developmental system. She explained how athletes from a variety of backgrounds are working to launch a career in wrestling, adding that she’s proof that the system works.

“Oh, we have so many athletes from all different kinds of backgrounds. We’ve got gymnasts, we’ve got football players, we’ve got dancers, and I think they all just kind of report to the Performance Center and they train to become the next WWE Superstar and I think it’s so important to have some sort of training center to coach the next in line, the future of the business, and they’ve been doing such a great job.

I am from the WWE Performance Center. I’m a homegrown talent, so I am proof that the WWE Performance Center works.”

At SummerSlam, Tiffany Stratton is set to defend the Women’s Championship against Jade Cargill. The former AEW star earned her shot at the champion after winning the Queen of the Ring tournament at Night of Champions.
