One of WWE’s biggest stars could be out of action.

At SummerSlam, Cody Rhodes put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Solo Sikoa. The match was a wild affair from the outset, contested under Bloodline Rules.

Following run-ins from Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Randy Orton, Kevin Owens, and Jacob Fatu, Roman Reigns returned to help the American Nightmare retain the gold.

During the chaos, Fatu hit a huge splash onto Rhodes from the top rope through the announce table. However, he quickly grabbed his lower leg before later being helped backstage by officials.

To add to the concern, the Bloodline star has now been pictured wearing a protective boot.

Jacob Fatu WWE SummerSlam Injury Looks “Pretty Bad”

Speaking at the post-SummerSlam press conference, Triple H said Jacob Fatu was “banged up,” but didn’t have any further details. The Game added that Logan Paul was also a little beaten up after he lost the United States Title to LA Knight.

“I have to mention Jacob Fatu because he’s like a force of nature, and it’s amazing to see him. Unfortunately, he got a little banged up in that last match. The only two real — Logan [Paul] is a little banged up, as he should be, and Jacob is a little banged up.

I’ll see where that nets out here in a little bit. Hopefully, nothing serious. It was bugging him a little bit, the leg so, we will see where he is,”

On the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez suggested the injury looked “pretty bad.” Alvarez had already explained that he believed Fatu was supposed to be involved again following his top rope leap, but he wasn’t physically able to do the spot.

“After the show ended, they sent this dude out there and he helped poor Jacob Fatu to the back, he’s limping the whole way. Hopefully, it’s not bad but, man, it looked pretty bad and he couldn’t get in there for the finish.”

Since making his debut on the June 21st episode of SmackDown, Jacob Fatu has quickly become a major player in WWE, winning the winning tag team gold alongside Tama Tonga the night before SummerSlam.
