WWE Star Out Of Action For Up To A Year

WWE Ambulance

The news was the worst it could be for NXT star Cora Jade as she looks to be out of a WWE ring for up to a year.

Cora Jade missed five months of action in the second half of 2023, returning to action on the 12th of December edition of NXT where she teamed with Blair Davenport to defeat Lyra Valkyria and Nikkita Lyons. She picked up a big singles win over Gigi Dolin on the 9th of January but now it seems things could have come crashing to a halt on a live event.

On the 12th of January, Jade challenged Lyra Valkyria for the NXT Women’s Championship in Dade City, Florida but that match was forced to come to a sudden end. Jade is believed to have suffered a knee injury during the match after landing awkwardly and was quickly attended to by referees and trainers.

Cora Jade Not The Only Injury Worry In WWE

WWE confirmed on the 16th of January edition of NXT that Cora Jade had suffered a torn ACL with commentary noting that the star could be out of action for up to a year. Jade was not part of the twenty-woman battle royal to find a new number one contender for the NXT Women’s Title as a result of the injury and that match was won by her old partner turned rival Roxanne Perez.

WWE will also be worried after Seth Rollins injured himself on Raw during his World Heavyweight Championship match against Jinder Mahal. The extent of that injury is not yet known but it is believed Rollins will undergo an MRI to find out how much damage was done.
