WWE Star Out Of Action Due To Unknown Injury

Tyler Bate Pete Dunne WWE

One tag team could be set for some time apart after one WWE star suffered an injury that will leave them on the shelf.

On Raw in Ottawa, WWE announcer Michael Cole revealed that Tyler Bate of the New Catch Republic would be “out of action for a bit” after suffering an injury during a tag team match on the 2nd of July edition of NXT when Bate and Pete Dunne defeated Hank Walker and Tank Ledger. The nature of Bate’s injury has not been revealed.

Raw saw Pete Dunne in singles action as a result of the injury to his tag team partner as the English star took on Bronson Reed. Reed won but continued the assault after the bout which brought out Sheamus to make the save. Sheamus attempted to hug Dunne but he was pushed away.

Sheamus and Pete Dunne were part of the Brawling Brutes with Ridge Holland but that group split during Sheamus’ hiatus from TV and it seems Dunne still holds hard feelings about the way that went down.

What Else Happened On WWE Raw?

There was a huge return on Raw as Rhea Ripley made her comeback to confront Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan after they won a tag team bout against Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega.

There was also a showdown between Seth Rollins and CM Punk after Punk screwed Rollins out of the World Heavyweight Title at Money In The Bank as he targeted Drew McIntyre once again.
