WWE Star Lifts Lid On Paul Heyman Mentorship

Paul Heyman on WWE SmackDown

Paul Heyman is taking an active role in working with a rising WWE star.

While Paul Heyman has been synonymous with working with Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk on-screen, it’s perhaps his work behind the scenes that’s most important.

From the moment Bron Breakker stepped into a WWE ring he’s been tipped for the very top. Two runs with the NXT Championship and Intercontinental Championship have only added to that expectation and a couple of small segments with Heyman haven’t hurt either.

However, things are a little deeper than that.

Back in March, Triple H revealed that he’d instructed Paul Heyman to work with Bron Breakker to develop his promos and character. The Game noted that Heyman then feeds back to him, and they decide where to take his presentation next.

In a new interview, the second-generation star has now opened up about his side of the arrangement and getting to work with the former ECW boss.

Bron Breakker Thankful For Paul Heyman Friendship

During the conversation with SHAK Wrestling (Shakiel Mahjouri), Brekker began by discussing Heyman’s lengthy history with his family and how that led to their first meeting.

“He goes back generations with my family. Paul obviously worked alongside my dad and my uncle back in the day. As soon as I got called up, and was sort of getting brought into the business at that level, he saw something in me, and we started building friendship and building rapport.”

Breakker went on to describe working with the veteran as a gift, given his incredible experience.

“I love working with him. He’s amazing. He is the greatest of all time,” Breakker declared unequivocally. “Being able to work with him is a gift because the wealth of knowledge that he carries is unparalleled to anyone or anything else… It’s insane how much that he knows, and to the highest level that he knows.”

The Intercontinental Champion backed up Triple H’s comments about Heyman working with him on the finer points of being a WWE Superstar, noting that it’s all about him learning to hone his craft.

“What he’s able to teach me on a weekly basis is just insane about how to go about my craft, how to carry myself, or, the direction that we’re headed and where my character needs to be at a certain point,”

During the same interview, Bron Breakker reflected on getting to share the ring with Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble. Breakker said that Reigns is the “best there is,” and it was amazing to get the chance to go two-to-toe with him, even briefly.
