WWE Star Suffered Legitimate Injury Before Accidental Title Loss
WWE star Blake Monroe recently lost her title in a shocking match.
Monroe defended the NXT Women’s North American Championship against Thea Hail on the December 16, 2025, episode of WWE NXT.
But the finish was botched in a way that caught everyone off guard during the live broadcast.
During the closing moments of the match, Hail hit Monroe with a springboard senton, which knocked the wind out of her opponent and prevented her from kicking out in time despite lifting her shoulder post-three-count.
This critical error altered the entire outcome unexpectedly.
Monroe was originally set to retain after kicking out, but the impact left her winded and unable to react promptly, causing referee confusion amid the chaos.
WWE even played her music briefly before switching to Hail’s, highlighting the production scramble.
