High-Profile WWE Star Could Leave Company Within Days

A popular WWE star could be about to hit free agency.

While in many respects WWE is firing on all cylinders and has been for over a year, uncertainty continues to surround the futures of several important stars.

Natalya and Dijak are both on the verge of becoming free agents, while it’s been reported that Becky Lynch is planning an extended break from the ring when her WWE deal expires on June 1st. Although most observers expect Lynch to eventually re-sign with WWE, nothing can be for certain.

The uncertainty around Lynch has sent shockwaves around the industry and kickstarted more speculation over other WWE names that might be heading for the exit.

Chad Gable’s WWE Contract Expires Within Days

According to a new report from Fightful Select, Chad Gable’s contract will expire “late next week.” At present, no agreement has been reached between Gable and the sports entertainment giant, meaning he’s getting increasingly close to becoming a free agent.

The report notes that should this happen, Gable will have interest “across the industry.” However, WWE is interested in keeping hold of the star. Furthermore, there will be a “strong push” from talent in other companies to sign Gable should he become available.

Several MMA companies have also expressed an interest in working with Gable, should the possibility arise.

Chad Gable is currently enjoying the strongest run of his career having spent much of 2024 battling for the Intercontinental Title. In recent weeks, the former tag team champion has turned heel as he continues his feud with Sami Zayn.

Gable is a three-time Tag Team Champion on the main roster, while he and Jason Jordan also won tag team gold in NXT.
