WWE Star Lana Undergoing Life-Changing Medical Procedure

Lana, aka CJ Perry, is with WWE under a Legends contract.

Perry began her WWE journey in 2013 primarily as a manager for Rusev. She gained fame as the “Ravishing Russian” and combined managerial duties with sporadic in-ring competition.

She played an important role in WWE’s storytelling, especially within the women’s division, although her in-ring success was limited. WWE released her in June 2021 during a wave of cuts aimed at trimming roster expenses during the pandemic aftermath.

After her WWE release, Lana joined AEW in September 2023. She initially tried to align herself with her husband, Miro, but after he rejected her, she transitioned into a managerial role for other wrestlers such as Andrade El Idolo and Action Andretti.

Her AEW tenure was relatively brief, lasting until April 2024, when she was released amidst budget cuts and roster reshuffling. Lana returned to WWE in April 2025, signing a Legends contract rather than a performance contract.

Despite being under contract, Perry has not appeared on WWE television since her signing. Fans speculate that her return could coincide with storyline developments involving Rusev, who also re-signed with WWE on a two-year deal.

There is potential for Lana’s involvement in future WWE storylines, but no official on-screen return has been announced.

Lana Is Undergoing IVF Treatment

In her personal life, Perry has been very open about her fertility journey. In a recent Instagram story, she shared her experiences undergoing IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) treatment with her husband Rusev.

Lana and Rusev have had a complex and well-publicized personal and professional relationship. The couple tied the knot in July 2016 after dating for several years. Their relationship crossed over into their WWE storylines, where Lana served as Rusev’s manager, and their real-life romance became part of WWE’s programming.

In late 2023, the couple separated after being married for over seven years. The separation was reportedly amicable, with no allegations of cheating or fights, and was attributed primarily to growing apart over time.

Despite the split, they continued to work together professionally and remained friends. News broke in early 2025 that the two had reconciled and were back together as a couple, and have been together since.
