Top WWE Star Legitimately Injured By Stephanie Vaquer’s Devil’s Kiss
Stephanie Vaquer’s Devi’s Kiss has achieved significant notoriety in WWE.
It is a move that is known for its crowd-popping appeal and, at the same time, its cheeky sexual undertones.
While it’s not considered dangerous, it looks vicious when Vaquer slams her opponent’s head on the mat or any other surface. It also becomes vicious when botched, as it was during the Survivor Series: WarGames PLE.
La Primera faced Nikki Bella, who had turned on her a couple of weeks ago by attacking her with the championship belt after the former’s singles match on RAW against Raquel Rodriguez.
Vaquer first performed Devil’s Kiss on Bella by placing her on the commentator’s desk. Later, she repeated the stunt in the ring.
This time around, Bella’s knees gave out as she lay on her stomach, with Vaquer not noticing the botch.
Nikki Bella Left Bruised After WWE Survivor Series
WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella discussed her Survivor Series match against Stephanie Vaquer on The Nikki & Brie Show, revealing that she ended up with bruises and swelling on her forehead.
For the Devil’s Kiss, you’re actually supposed to have your hands behind your back so it looks like you’re really getting your face smashed—which I found out that night, you really do get your face smashed.
I ended up with two goose eggs on my forehead… My head’s been on fire… and my nose too.
When she rolled me back in… I remember hearing knees hit the mat, and when I looked back, I realized I probably should’ve sold it that way. But I had no idea my knees were out—that’s how out of it I was. [H/T: Ringside News]
Despite bearing the brunt of the Devil’s Kiss, the veteran performer continued to finish the match. She later demanded a rematch.
