WWE Star In Shock Title Loss On NXT

One main roster WWE star has been caught out in a surprise loss as they wave goodbye to their championship on NXT.

The WWE Speed Championships have gone under the radar in the company in recent months after the company stopped airing bouts on X (Twitter). The belts have since reemerged as part of NXT, but their status on the brand has been anything but settled.

Sol Ruca was forced to vacate the women’s title due to injury, upsetting her partner Zaria in the process by choosing to relinquish the belt rather than let Zaria defend it for her. That came after Zaria lost Ruca’s NXT Women’s North American Title to Blake Monroe.

Now the WWE Men’s Speed Title has gone up for grabs on the November 11th edition of NXT as El Grande Americano put his gold on the line.

El Grande Americano Loses WWE Gold

El Grande Americano won that title back in May when the character was still being portrayed by Chad Gable. An injury to Gable raised questions about Americano’s future, but the masked star carried on regardless, now being played by Ludwig Kaiser.

Jasper Troy earned his shot at the Speed Title when he won a tournament to become the number one contender, dispatching Axiom in the final. Now, Troy has picked up the first gold of his WWE career as he defeated Kaiser to win the championship.
