WWE Star Hints At Impending Exit

One WWE star appears to be counting down the days to their departure.

Lacey Evans made a name for herself on the NXT brand as The Sassy Southen Belle before she moved up to the main roster in 2019. Evans found herself embroiled in a feud with Charlotte Flair at the beginning of 2021 with Ric Flair in Evans’ corner. However, that storyline was abandoned when Evans became pregnant and she spent the next 14 months out of action before returning in June 2022.

However, since that return, Evans has been plagued by start-stop booking and has only competed on WWE television six times in 2023. The former Marine has courted controversy in the past with her social media posts and became embroiled in a bizarre spat with WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter after she began wearing a drill instructor’s hat as well as using the Cobra Clutch in her matches.

Lacey Evans’ WWE future in doubt

Social media was awash with speculation on the 14th of August suggesting that Lacey Evans had been released from her contract and while there is no confirmation that has happened, Evans might well be counting down her days in the company.

Lacey Evans took to social media herself to apparently comment on the speculation with a GIF of Beyonce accompanied by the caption “Roger – how many days left??”

It has previously been reported that cuts are expected to come to WWE once again when the takeover by Endeavor is rubber-stamped, something that could happen as soon as September.
