WWE Star Going Nowhere As Contract Details Revealed

Triple H WWE

New details have been revealed about the contract of one WWE star who joined the company in 2025.

2025 in WWE has been dominated by the final year of John Cena’s legendary career. Cena shocked the world when he turned heel at Elimination Chamber before he broke his tie with Ric Flair to become a 17-time WWE Champion at WrestleMania 41.

Now, Cena is just days away from his final match that will take place at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th. John Cena’s last opponent has now been confirmed as he will share the ring with Gunther after The Ring General saw off LA Knight to win the Last Time Is Now tournament.

While John Cena might be about to become WWE’s past, the company kept an eye on the future with some major signings during the year as well.

JC Mateo With WWE For 3 Years

Jeff Cobb joined WWE from NJPW in the spring of 2025 despite winning the IWGP Tag Team Championship just weeks before. Cobb was rechristened as JC Mateo shortly after he made the switch and has been part of Solo Sikoa’s MFT faction.

Fightful Select has now reported that WWE sources have claimed that Cobb signed a three-year deal with WWE, which takes his current contract into the spring of 2028. The former Olympian will be 46 when his deal with the sports entertainment giant ends.
