Another WWE star has undergone a character change on SmackDown.

After John Cena turned heel earlier this year, R-Truth challenged him to a match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in an attempt to bring him back to his senses. Nevertheless, he failed.

Truth was later let go from the Stamford-based company, a decision that was met with massive backlash from WWE fans and even the locker room.

The veteran shockingly returned at Money in the Bank to attack The Last Real Champion. Following his comeback, Truth debuted a new serious character and cut his hair. He continued his feud with Cena, leading to a match on SmackDown last June that also ended in the 48-year-old’s victory.

Over the past few weeks, Truth seemingly had a dual character, R-Truth and Ron Killings. While he revealed that Killings did not like John Cena, Truth vowed to continue his feud with the 17-time world champion until the latter comes to his senses.

After Cena turned babyface ahead of SummerSlam, he came face-to-face with Truth backstage tonight on SmackDown. The two surprisingly got along, as the former 24/7 Champion was happy babyface Cena was back.

He also stated that he was back, seemingly confirming his return to his R-Truth persona and dropping his Ron Killings one.
