WWE Star Gets Bizarre Name Change

Triple H WWE

Vince McMahon is now undoubtedly not part of WWE but it seems that with or without him, name changes for stars is something that is still going to happen.

McMahon had long been blamed by fans in the past for at various times taking people’s surnames away, taking people’s first names away, or forcing NXT stars to change their names when they joined the main roster. Vince McMahon is out of WWE and TKO once and for all but it seems Triple H isn’t averse to a name change himself.

Since Santos Escobar split with the LWO, he has rebuilt Legado del Fantasma but this time he is flanked by Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo. The trio has now officially been joined by Elektra Lopez on SmackDown.

WWE Chop Humberto Carrillo’s Name Once Again

In the past Carrillo and Garza have lost their surnames before regaining them and have also been known collectively as Los Lotharios but now going forward it seems the surnames are gone and for one of the stars so is a bit of their first name.

Now, Carrillo’s WWE roster page lists him simply as Berto – a shortening of his full first name that he previously went by.

Berto and Angel were in action on SmackDown in Birmingham, Alabama where they could have moved a step closer to getting a shot at the WWE Tag Team Championship at Elimination Chamber. They were joined in the match by Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne, Cruz Del Toro & Joaquin Wilde as well as Pretty Deadly. Bate and Dunne won the bout and now they will face a team from Raw with the winner of that match taking on Finn Balor & Damian Priest in Australia.
