WWE Star In Line For Surprise Royal Rumble Return

The Royal Rumble is the night where every WWE fan wants to be shocked and it seems one competitor could be ready to do just that.

Sonya Deville tore her ACL in a match against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair on the 28th of July 2023 episode of SmackDown. The timing of the injury couldn’t have been much worse for Deville as just eleven days previously she had captured the first gold of her career when she and Chelsea Green won the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

An injury such as that can leave a wrestler out for anywhere between 6 and 9 months and if a new report is to be believed, it could mean Deville has recovered at the earlier end of that scale.

Will Sonya Deville Be In The WWE Royal Rumble?

PWInisder has reported that Sonya Deville has been at the WWE Performance Center recently as she continues to recover from her injury. It is noted that Deville is expected to be at the Royal Rumble and the suggestion is made that if WWE is looking for a dramatic way to bring her back into the fold then a spot in the women’s Rumble match would be ideal. Whether or not that plays out remains to be seen.

Jade Cargill could also be in line for a surprise debut on the show but it remains to be seen if she’ll finally be getting in a WWE ring or if she’ll be watching on from the sidelines.
