WWE Star Named As Target Of Drew McIntyre’s Royal Rumble Rage

Drew McIntyre stormed out of the building after his elimination from the Royal Rumble and it seems the WWE star he was furious with has now been revealed.

Drew McIntyre entered the men’s Rumble at number 17 and looked set to be among the final runners and riders but things didn’t pan out that way. The Scottish star lasted 26 minutes and 55 seconds but claimed no eliminations before he was dumped out of the ring by Damian Priest.

Drew McIntyre looked shocked as he was forced to walk away from his chance to headline WrestleMania 41 but backstage all hell broke loose.

PWInsider reported Drew McIntyre was “screaming and cursing” backstage following his elimination. McIntyre was said to be shouting about the fact that “someone had to get their moves in” at the expense of some of the stories being told in the bout. It was also mentioned that something “went wrong” with McIntyre’s elimination.

Drew McIntyre Angry With LA Knight

Fightful Select has now noted that several talents have indicated their agreement with McIntyre and that the frustration was directed at LA Knight.

Knight attempted to engage with Logan Paul while McIntyre attempted to eliminate Jey Uso causing a mid-ring collision. This was the spot where Priest grabbed McIntyre and eliminated him. It was also said that McIntyre was originally meant to be eliminated before Logan Paul’s entry into the match.

Priest eliminating McIntyre is believed to be setting up a storyline between them for the SmackDown brand heading into WrestleMania 41. Drew McIntyre was not present at the Royal Rumble after-party following his storm out.
