WWE Star Doubts Brock Lesnar Will Ever Return
Brock Lesnar might not ever be back in a WWE ring and now one star has discussed what that means for a potential dream match between them.
Vince McMahon has been accused of sex assault and sex trafficking in a bombshell lawsuit that has rocked WWE. The lawsuit is against McMahon as well as the company itself and former Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis but it has had wider implications as well.
Brock Lesnar was implicated in the lawsuit despite not being named. The former WWE employee filing the lawsuit has alleged that Vince McMahon had offered her sexual services to Lesnar during contract negotiations between WWE and Lesnar.
As a result, WWE pulled creative plans for Brock Lesnar that would have seen the star return to the ring at the Royal Rumble. This also means that a planned dream match that could have taken place at WrestleMania 40 is now off the table.
Gunther Admits Brock Lesnar Match Might Never Happen
Speaking to GVWire WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther says he remains wide open to the possibility of a dream match with Brock Lesnar but admits he doesn’t know if Lesnar will ever be back in the company:
I always was vocal about my dream match in the past, but that fell through now. I don’t know if we’ll see Brock again if that’s ever going to happen, but I’m wide open when it comes to that as of now.
Gunther has dominated as the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in the history of WWE and a win over the former WWE Champion could have propelled The Ring General to the upper echelons of the company. What the company has planned for Gunther at WrestleMania 40 instead remains to be seen.
