WWE Star Doesn’t Care About WrestleMania Main Event

A top WWE star has one focus.

It’s often said that every WWE star in the locker room is striving to land a spot in the main event of WrestleMania, but just weeks away from the event, one of the company’s biggest names has claimed they simply don’t care.

Back in February, Jey Uso shocked John Cena and the rest of the wrestling world to win the Royal Rumble and earn a World Title shot at WrestleMania. Shortly after the Rumble, Uso chose to face Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.

However, with a stacked card promised across two nights, it appears unlikely that the match will land one of the coveted main event spots. But that’s just fine with the challenger.

During an interview with Alex McCarthy for the Daily Mail, Uso said he doesn’t care where his match is on the card as all he’s focused on his making it as memorable as possible.

“WrestleMania, night one or night two, whichever match I’m on. I don’t care if I’m on last, I don’t care if I open it up. I’m going to go out there and they’re going to remember my match, so that’s all I’m focused on. This is a once in a lifetime shot. That’s how I’m looking at it, because this might not ever, ever come back around in my career,”

During a different interview, Jey Uso admitted he’s still trying to prove himself before vowing to prove his critics wrong at WrestleMania.

Triple H Wants Stars To Earn WWE Main Event Spots

While Jey Uso doesn’t care about a WrestleMania main event, there have been growing calls from fans for one of the Women’s Title matches to main-event one of the two nights. However, as the spectacular moves ever closer, that’s appearing increasingly unlikely.

During a recent media appearance, Triple H said he doesn’t view booking as men vs. women, adding that if WWE’s women are in the main event, it’s because they’ve earned it. The WWE boss went on to hit back at the idea that he’d book an all-female main event just to get positive feedback from the media.
