WWE Star Declared “The Next Big Thing” On WWE RAW

Paul Heyman has bestowed the title of “next big thing” on one WWE star, a moniker once given to Brock Lesnar.

Paul Heyman screwed CM Punk and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 41 to align himself with Seth Rollins. Rollins and Heyman have since put together a dominant group on Raw with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed taken under their wing. Rollins’ plan to run Raw once again came a step closer to happening when he captured the Money In The Bank briefcase, but now a major roadblock has been hit.

Seth Rollins appeared to seriously injure his knee at Saturday Night’s Main Event in his match with LA Knight. Several theories have since emerged, including that Rollins’ injury is part of a storyline or that his injury is not as severe as first thought, as WWE looks to make his Money In The Bank cash-in a complete surprise.

Paul Heyman Has High Praise For Bron Breakker On WWE Raw

On the July 14th edition of Raw, Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and Bronson Reed had to carry on regardless, with Breakker taking part in a gauntlet match with a SummerSlam World Heavyweight Title match on the line. Before that match, Breakker went face-to-face with Gunther as Paul Heyman explained what would happen if The Ring General got in the ring with Breakker.

During his verbal assault, Paul Heyman referred to Breakker as “the next big thing” as well as the “big dog” before declaring that this was “Bron Breakker’s yard.” These comments put fans in mind of Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns, and The Undertaker.

Paul Heyman christened Brock Lesnar as “the next big thing” when he burst onto the WWE scene in 2002. Heyman’s comments will raise eyebrows for many, as some fans think WWE might have accidentally spoiled the return of Brock Lesnar to the company.
