Popular WWE Star Confirms Current Contract May Be His Last

Triple H WWE

One WWE star has hinted that their current contract with the company will likely be their last.

John Cena recently ended his legendary career at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Cena took on Gunther in his final match, meekly tapping out to The Ring General to the shock and disgust of many fans watching, both in Washington, D.C. and around the world.

The show also saw Cena’s WrestleMania 27 conqueror, The Miz, make an appearance to complain about being left out of the show. Miz was soon confronted by R-Truth, which led to Truth and Joe Hendry dropping The Miz with stereo Five Knuckle Shuffles in tribute to the retiring Cena.

R-Truth has now indicated that he may not be far behind Cena, as at Saturday Night’s Main Event, he gave an indication as to when his time in WWE might be done:

I always like to say, I steal this from The Rock, I let pain in my body be my guide as far as when it’s time for me to go. Right now, I still feel good — I’ve thought about it. As you know, I just renewed my deal, so it’s like… this could be the last one. We all have to have that time. We all have to get off the ride at some point.

R-Truth Already Let Go By WWE

R-Truth was told by WWE that his contract was being allowed to expire in the summer of 2025. An outcry then followed, forcing Nick Khan to get involved and sign Truth to a new deal.

He returned as a more serious version of himself, briefly using the name Ron Killings and took on Cena for the WWE Championship. However, that serious turn and the push that came with it were then quickly dropped with the R-Truth name and his wackier persona returning.
