WWE Star Could Require Surgery
The bad news continues to get worse for WWE star Liv Morgan with speculation mounting that she requires surgery following a recent injury.
Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were set to defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on Raw recently against Sonya Deville and Chelsea Green but injury put a stop to that.
Morgan and Rodriguez had defeated Damage CTRL’s IYO SKY and Dakota Kai on the 12th of May edition of SmackDown where the former SmackDown Women’s Champion apparently picked up the injury. Instead of the tag team title match then happening on Raw, Rodriguez was in singles action where she defeated Chelsea Green.
Worse was to come for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions on the following SmackDown as Michael Cole revealed that due to the extent of Morgan’s injury, she and Rodriguez had been forced to vacate their title with a fatal four-way match made to crown new champions.
Now speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez has noted that Liv Morgan’s injury is to her shoulder and it is severe enough that it may require surgery:
“Liv Morgan has what is believed to be a shoulder injury that may need surgery, and so they announce on SmackDown that she and Raquel were being stripped of the tag team titles, and they’re going to do a four way coming up on Raw and the winners of that this week.”
The four-way match will see Raquel Rodriguez and a partner of her choice facing Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler, Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville, and Bayley & IYO SKY of Damage CTRL for the gold.
