WWE Star Confirms Exit At Surprise Appearance
It seems the rumours surrounding at least one member of WWE’s Hurt Business are true as MVP confirmed he’s leaving WWE during a shock appearance at another promotion.
On July 21st it was reported that both Bobby Lashley and MVP had been removed from WWEβs internal roster. This was followed by a further report that suggested both men were planning to leave the company.
Lashley hasnβt been seen on television since April, and he was later removed from the King of the Ring tournament due to an undisclosed injury. Meanwhile, MVP was last seen accompanying Omos to the ring for the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the eve of WrestleMania 40.
Although he hasnβt wrestled since July 2022, MVP commented in May that heβs determined to get back in the ring before he finally retires. The veteran discussed the topic after travelling to Mexico for stem cell therapy in a bid to return to full fitness. And he has his sights set on a huge fight.
At GCW Bloodsport XI, MVP made a shock appearance as he confronted Josh Barnett and confirmed that his contract with a company he wouldn’t name was expiring and that he wasn’t going back before he challenged Barnett to a fight. Barnett gladly accepted and opened the invitation to anyone MVP might bring with him as he mentioned The Hurt Business.
MVP is here and has challenged Josh Barnett to a match in Bloodsport.

MVP Joins Other WWE Stars At Bloodsport
There was other WWE representation on the Bloodsport XI card as relations between Josh Barnett and the sports entertainment giant seem to be good which might explain MVP’s appearance while still under a WWE contract.
Julius Creed and Brutus Creed both won fights against Matt Makowski and ‘Filthy’ Tom Lawlor respectively while NXT’s Charlie Dempsey lost to Royce Isaacs. The night’s main event saw Shayna Baszler pick up a victory over Miyu Yamashita.
