WWE Star Warns Fans They’ll Turn On Cody Rhodes

Cody Rhodes WWE Champion Celebrate

A veteran WWE wrestler thinks that there will come a day when fans will turn on Cody Rhodes.

In the main event of WrestleMania 40 Sunday, Roman Reigns defended the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship against Cody Rhodes in a match that was under Bloodline Rules.

After several run-ins featuring big names like The Rock, John Cena, The Undertaker and others, Cody managed to put away Reigns by hitting his Cross Rhodes finishing move multiple times for the pinfall win.

Cody Rhodes is now a WWE Champion for the first time. When he won the title, it was treated as a major celebration that featured other top babyfaces in WWE celebrating with him while Cody was also joined by his family. Cody also shared special moments with Triple H, Bruce Prichard, and Michael Cole among others.

What is most important is that Cody is beloved by the WWE Universe which saw him start in the company nearly 20 years ago as a guy in his early 20s. At WrestleMania 40, Cody won the WWE Title that his father Dusty Rhodes never won and his brother Dustin Rhodes (aka Goldust) never won.

While Cody Rhodes is as popular as ever, WWE NXT star Dijak thinks that one day the fans are going to turn on Cody.

“It won’t be tomorrow, it won’t be next week, it won’t be next month, might not even be next year… but one day you guys are gonna turn so hard on Cody and boo his ass out of the building and when that day comes all I’m going to do is reference this post and tell you I was right.”

Cody Rhodes Loved Doing His Entrance With His Wife At WrestleMania

After WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes spoke at the post-show press conference and had some thoughts about what he would tell his late father Dusty Rhodes if he could speak to him again.

“If I’m being honest, I think I would want to say to him, ‘I hope I lived up to your name. Thank you for that name.’ Then I would say, ‘Sorry about the tattoo.’”

The Cody Rhodes WWE Champion Era begins officially on the April 8th edition of Monday Night Raw in Philadelphia for the post-WrestleMania edition of Raw.
