Major WWE Star Claims CM Punk Didn’t Deserve To Win World Title

CM Punk’s latest world title run did not last more than five minutes, but it still faced backlash.

At SummerSlam 2025, The Best in the World went up against then-World Heavyweight Champion Gunther and successfully dethroned him. Unfortunately, Seth Rollins pulled off the ruse of the century at the premium live event.

The Visionary came out to the arena and revealed that he wasn’t injured, but it was all just pretend. He cashed in the Money in the Bank contract and dethroned Punk to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

Dominik Mysterio claimed CM Punk did not deserve the world title

While speaking to Casual Conversations with The Classic, Dominik Mysterio revealed that when Punk vs. Gunther ended, he wasn’t amused with the Second City Saint winning the championship.

I was a fan, you know, watching SummerSlam Night One, and I was extremely sad and depressed when I saw that he had won the title. You know, just not because he [CM Punk] had won it, just because, you know, I don’t think he deserves it. I don’t think he deserves to be in that spot. But at the end of the day, I was smiling from ear to ear when I saw Seth Freakin’ Rollins.

Currently, CM Punk has been booked for a Fatal Four-Way for Clash in Paris against LA Knight, Jey Uso, and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins.
