WWE Star Celebrates Landing First Movie Role

A regular contributor on WWE television has revealed they will have a role in a movie.

The current WWE roster features a lot of on-screen talent who can do many things at a high level that don’t involve a wrestling ring.

An example of that is Liv Morgan, who missed a few weeks of WWE TV to film a high-profile movie in Japan. Morgan’s role took less than three weeks to film, and she was praised heavily for her performance by people involved in the film. That’s because the WWE life prepares people for that.

WWE fans know Cathy Kelley as a host and backstage interviewer who has been on NXT, SmackDown, and Raw in her career. These days, she is usually on Raw.

On social media, Kelley posted a picture while writing, “First movie role: coming soon.” She covered up the photo to hide whatever film she was making.

Cathy Kelley Training For Different WWE Role

Cathy Kelley has had two different runs in WWE. She started with the company from 2016 to 2020 until she felt it was time to do other things. In October 2022, WWE brought Kelley back to the company, and she has worked as a backstage interviewer on both Raw and SmackDown ever since.

It was recently reported by PWInsider and the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Kelley was training to be a manager in WWE. She has spent time learning about what it takes at the Performance Center in Orlando, so there could be something soon involving Kelley as a character on camera instead of just being an interviewer.
