“It’s Dangerous” – WWE Star Calls Out Opponent After 10-Second Match
A WWE star has broken their silence after an embarrassing defeat on NXT.
On December 30, Lexis King was scheduled to face Tavion Heights in the final of the Men’s Speed Championship tournament, contested to determine Jasper Troy’s next opponent.
Heights made the ring entrance first, followed by King.
After entering the ring, King took his own time in the corner, facing away from his opponent. Not knowing that the referee had called for the bell, King turned around only find himself in the grips of Heights.
The American Olympian lifted the 32-year-old and hit a belly-to-belly suplex for a quick pinfall.
The bout ended as commentator Vic Joseph claimed that Heights’ victory could be a record in terms of being the fastest finish. King, meanwhile, was seen arguing with the referee.
The WWE superstar took to X to vent his frustration after the fight, calling out his opponent, referring to him as a rookie, and his actions ungentlemanly.
This is RIDICULOUS! Who uses their finishing move in the FIRST 10 SECONDS of a match! That’s a rookie move! This is a sport of KINGS! Of GENTLEMEN! Everybody knows you are supposed to lock up and WRESTLE to start the match… This is reckless, not to mention it’s dangerous, and… https://t.co/zQOAQr6iV1

Jasper Troy Defeated El Grande Americano To Become The New WWE Men’s Speed Champion
Chad Gable‘s version of El Grande Americano won the WWE Men’s Speed Championship on the namesake web series on the May 5 episode.
The web series was controversially ended after the July 9 episode. On NXT Heatwave, the men’s and women’s Speed Championships were made an official part of the developmental brand.
Gable defended it once on Speed, but never again as he got subsequently injured and was written off TV.
On the November 11 episode of NXT, Ludwig Kaiser, as Americano, defended the Speed Championship against Jasper Troy.
With the title matches contested under a 5-minute time limit, their bout came down to the wire, with Troy pinning the champion after hitting the Black Home Slam at 4:42.
