WWE Star Blasts AEW Match As Dumbest Thing In The World
Two AEW stars took things to the extreme at Full Gear as Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland went to war but WWE’s Booker T was not a fan.
At AEW Full Gear Hangman Adam Page and Swerve Strickland’s intensely personal rivalry hit new heights as they did battle in a Texas Death Match. The brutal and bloody bout saw broken glass, barbed wire, and a staple gun all come into play but one moment in particular got the most attention.
During the match, Strickland was bleeding from his head and crawling around the ring and Page lay underneath his opponent specifically so he could drink the blood flowing out of Strickland.
WWE’s Booker T Issues Warning After Bloody AEW Spot
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, WWE NXT announcer Booker T gave his honest assessment of that spot and it’s safe to say he wasn’t a fan:
I ain’t never seen nothing like that before.
We’ve got diseases out there that we know [can be] transferred through blood, and god forbid a drop land on a kid, and something happened. It’s the dumbest thing in the world.
While the Hall of Famer appears on WWE TV every week but has given his thoughts on AEW, Booker T has hit out at Tony Khan for his fixation with WWE.
