WWE Star Behind Bizarre Street Trash Idea

Finn Balor with JD McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio on WWE Raw

The mastermind behind renaming WWE’s Judgment Day faction as ‘Street Trash’ has been revealed.

The Judgment Day pulled off a double betrayal at SummerSlam 2024, turning on both Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley during the event. The following night on Raw, Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, Carlito, and Liv Morgan declared that they were the new faces of The Judgment Day.

Soon after, a rumour emerged that the faction was about to undergo another major change, with The Judgment Day name set to be dropped in favor of ‘Street Trash’. Fans were divided on the idea, with many expressing their unhappiness at the new moniker.

It appears that WWE has listened to the complaints, with WrestleVotes now reporting that the plans to change the name have been dropped, although ‘Street Trash’ will still be used as a slogan and incorporated into merchandise going forward. The report also noted that Finn Balor himself had come up with the idea.

“A good follow up on this: looks like they heard the outcry! Source claims the name Judgment Day will remain, however the slogan “Street Trash” will be incorporated within the groups gimmick. The “Street Trash” idea came directly from Finn Balor, with merchandising concepts already completed and approved.”

Another WWE Faction Given New Name

While The Judgement Day won’t be changing their moniker anytime soon, a new faction in WWE has officially been named. On Raw in Ottawa, Damage CTRL’s IYO SKY, Dakota Kai, and Kairi Sane were subjected to a vicious attack by Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Sonya Deville. The following week, Stark and Baszler teamed up to take on Sane and SKY, with WWE officially revealing the trio’s name to be the Pure Fusion Collective.
