Major WWE Star Backstage At AEW Double Or Nothing
A major WWE name has been visiting AEW.
On May 26th, AEW held Double or Nothing at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The show saw Will Ospreay win his first AEW championship gold, Jungle Boy set on fire by Darby Allin, and Adam Copeland break his leg jumping from the top of a steel cage in an attempt to take out Malakai Black.
The leader of the House of Black ended up losing the Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match despite the involvement of Buddy Matthews and Brody King. As it turned out, Copeland had an ace up his sleeve as well, with the arrival of Grangrel.
Adam Copeland has since undergone surgery on his tibia, but he’s already been back in the gym as he prepares for another stunning comeback.
Although Buddy Matthews didn’t have a match of his own on the card, he did have the support of his fiancé Rhea Ripley. As reported by Fightful Select, Ripley was backstage visiting at the show.
Rhea Ripley Taunted By Liv Morgan On WWE Raw
Rhea Ripley has been out of action since early April when she revealed she was dealing with an arm injury. Due to the problem, Ripley was forced to vacate the Women’s World Championship, and the gold was subsequently won by Becky Lynch and then Liv Morgan.
In storyline the injury was put down to an attack by Morgan who has been desperate to take out the Aussie star for months. In recent weeks, Liv Morgan has tried to break up the on-screen partnership of Ripley and Dominik Mysterio, kissing ‘Ex-con-Dom’ on Raw. Meanwhile, Finn Balor has been doing his best to keep Morgan getting involved in Judgment Day business.
There’s no word on when Rhea Ripley will be back in the ring.
