WWE Star Announces Injury Absence

A veteran wrestler from WWE’s The Judgment Day will be out of action.

The Judgment Day seems to be on a roll again as 2025 winds down. The group, which started in the spring of 2022, has gone through several different members over the years, but there have been mainstays like Finn Balor. Meanwhile, the Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio has been part of the group for over three years.

JD McDonagh hasn’t held singles gold on the WWE main roster, but he is a former World Tag Team Champion with Balor, and one of the more underrated wrestlers in the company.

Unfortunately for JD, he’ll be missing in action due to an injury that required a trip to the hospital. Writing on social media, said he’s been going through some stuff, so he has to slow down a bit and fix what is wrong. He said he won’t be out long. As you can see, he gave a thumbs-up gesture in his hospital photo.

“Been working thru some stuff for the last few months, but now is the time to pump the brakes and get put back together. Won’t be long. brb.”

WWE Monday Night Raw To Feature Title Matches And CM Punk

The December 15th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw in Hershey, PA will actually be a double taping where the company will also tape the December 19th episode of SmackDown.

At the December 19th SmackDown taping in Grand Rapids, MI, WWE will tape the December 22nd edition of Raw and the December 26th edition of SmackDown.

WWE is taping Raw and SmackDown in advance to give talent and staff some time off around the Christmas holidays. Plus, there is a busy WWE live event schedule from December 26th to January 4th, with many wrestlers working every night for a week. The well-deserved break over Christmas is a good thing, even though it means fans have to watch taped shows.

The advertised lineup for Raw on December 15th looks like this:

  • WWE World Champion CM Punk Appears
  • Women’s World Championship: Stephanie Vaquer vs. Raquel Rodriguez
  • WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship Match: Maxxine Dupri vs. Ivy Nile
  • The Usos vs. The New Day
  • Logan Paul vs. Rey Mysterio
  • Gunther appears

For Gunther, it will be his first appearance since beating John Cena at WWE Saturday Night’s Main on December 13th in what was Cena’s retirement match. A lot of fans were legitimately angry about Gunther making Cena tap out to win, so it will be interesting to see how they react to the former World Champion.
