Major WWE Star Accuses John Cena Of Taunting Him

At Crown Jewel 2025, John Cena paid tribute to many of his past opponents and rivals in WWE, and The Miz was one of them. He used Miz’s signature move, the Skull Crushing Finale, during his match against AJ Styles.

WWE posted a video of Cena performing the move on their Instagram and tagged The Miz, which caught Miz’s attention. However, The A-Lister was visibly upset by this, interpreting Cena’s use of his move as a taunt, especially since The Miz has not been booked to face Cena during Cena’s retirement tour.

The Miz commented on WWE’s Instagram, saying, “Now he’s just taunting me,” expressing frustration at being overlooked for a match with Cena despite his history with him.​ Check out a screenshot of his comment below.

The Miz Wants To Face John Cena Before The Latter Retires

John Cena has been teasing the possibility of one more final match with The Miz on social media. He recently posted a cryptic post with Miz’s photo and no caption, hinting that he wants to have one last match with him.

The Miz is also strongly interested in this match, having called out Cena and WWE’s creative team for not booking the dream clash between them. He has been vocal about wanting to face Cena before Cena retires. He remains hopeful and vocal about his desire to get one last match against Cena.

“I beat the guy at WrestleMania in the main event for the WWE Championship, one of the only people ever to do something like that, and I can’t get a match with John Cena. He’s got five dates left.”

“The audience could say, ‘We want The Miz versus John Cena,’ and I would love to have one more match,” he said. “I’ve been talking about this since the retirement tour started. I was the first person to go ‘sign me up.’ I’m putting my name in the hat. When’s my number going to get called? Maybe never, because there’s only five left,” The Miz said in an interview with Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely.
