WWE Stable In Tag Team Match At WWE-AAA Worlds Collide
A six-man tag team match has been announced for the WWE-AAA World Collide event featuring a group from SmackDown.
During WrestleMania 41 weekend, it was announced that WWE had bought the AAA promotion out of Mexico. It was something that wasn’t rumored for weeks going into it, so it was a shocking announcement that will allow WWE superstars to interact with big names from AAA.
After the sale, Spanish language publication LexLatin reported that TKO-owned WWE will own 51% of AAA when the deal is completed in 2025. Mexican sports and entertainment company Fillip will own the remaining 49%.
The first WWE-AAA show is called Worlds Collide, and it will take place on Saturday, June 7th at 3 p.m. ET at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. Later that same day, WWE Money in the Bank will take place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
There was a segment on WWE SmackDown in Savannah, GA, featuring Legado Del Fantasma’s Santos Escobar, Angel, and Berto. The group has had issues lately, with Escobar being upset at Berto especially. This has led to Berto growing frustrated about his place in the group.
In the segment, Escobar told Angel and Berto that they would come together and show everybody who they were. Santos informed them that the group would be in action at the WWE-AAA Worlds Collide event. Berto wasn’t sure how to react to what Escobar was saying, so he left while Escobar and Angel were excited about it.
After that, a graphic was shown on the screen. At the WWE-AAA Worlds Collide show on June 7th, Legado Del Fantasma will face El Hijo De Dr. Wagner Jr., Psycho Clown, and Pagano.
