WWE Speed Championship Tournament Finals Set For NXT Next Week
The WWE Speed Championship tournament was announced for tonight’s episode by General Manager Ava to determine the number one contender for the current champion, Jasper Troy.
Troy won the previous tournament to be crowned the number one contender, and then went on to defeat El Grande Americano last month on NXT to become the champion.
However, since winning the belt, he hadn’t had any televised championship defenses, leading to the tournament being announced. Both semi-finals took place on tonight’s episode, and the final was announced for the final NXT episode of 2025.
Lexis King and Tavion Heights to face each other on WWE NXT
Evolve superstar Eli Knight made his WWE NXT debut on tonight’s episode as he faced Tavion Heights in the first semi-final of the night but wasn’t successful in his debut match as he lost to Heights with a minute to spare.
The second match between Lexis King and Andre Chase went down to the wire and it seemed like it wouldn’t be over within the stipulated time limit of three minutes.
However, King emerged the winner with just 15 seconds to spare as he hit Chase with the Coronation to win the match and head to the final of the tournament, scheduled for next week.
