SmackDown Women’s Title Match Gets New Stipulation For WWE Extreme Rules PLE
Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey are about to get extreme.
During the 9/16 episode of WWE SmackDown, Ronda Rousey came face-to-face with SmackDown Women’s Champion, Liv Morgan in a backstage sit-down interview. In the midst of a heated argument between champion and challenger, Morgan was fed up with Rousey calling her (Morgan’s) past title win over her a fluke and Rousey was challenged to an Extreme Rules Match by the champion, which was accepted by ‘The Baddest Woman On The Planet’.

Rewind a few months back and Liv Morgan won the 2022 Women’s Money In The Bank Ladder Match to earn herself a title opportunity at any given moment. Morgan wouldn’t waste any time in pouncing on her chance as just hours after her ladder match win, she took advantage of an injured Rousey following the latter’s successful title defense over Natalya and pinned Rousey to secure her first title in WWE.
The pair would have their rematch at the following month’s SummerSlam event and Morgan controversially won after rolling up Rousey for the 1-2-3, however, it was clear that Rousey’s shoulders weren’t on the mat for the duration of the three-count, but the referee never saw it and declared Morgan the winner.
