One WWE star has unfinished business in NXT.

Naomi signed with WWE in 2009 and spent time with developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling before it morphed into NXT. The would-be champion originally debuted on the main roster three years later as one of The Funkadactyls before breaking out as a singles star.

After establishing herself on the main roster, Naomi went on to win the SmackDown Women’s Title twice, as well as capturing tag team gold.

However, it’s a title that she hasn’t won that’s eating away at her.

Naomi Wants To Face WWE’s Rising Stars

During an appearance on Casual Conversations with The Classic, Naomi was asked which NXT stars she’d love to face. The star wasted little time in running down some of the brand’s up-and-coming names, before admitting she’s still frustrated at never winning the NXT Women’s Title.

“There’s just so much talent. I love [Kelani Jordan], just her energy. I think she’s super sweet, and I think she genuinely connects with the fans. Everybody is super athletic, super talented. It just seems like they’re picking it up a lot faster these days, especially with the D-1 athletes coming in. It’s just like man, these women are on a whole ‘nother level, and I love that.

I would love to face or work with anybody down in NXT, especially being an original NXT girl, season three, and I think a lot of people don’t even remember that or forgot about that. But I would love to have a run in NXT because I should have won the first NXT, and I didn’t, so I got a little chip on my shoulder about that.

Lola [Vice] is a great heel, she is just nasty with it. They’re super talented. Lash [Legend] and Jakara [Jackson], of course. Shotzi’s group, Chemical X. I love it, it’s a super cool name, they got a super cool look.

They all flow well together. I can’t wait to see how they continue to grow together. It’s just so much talent down there. The list goes on and on and on,”

Naomi added that winning the NXT Women’s Title is on her “to-do list.”

The star will be back in action on the February 24 edition of Raw when she and Bianca Belair put the Women’s Tag Team Titles on the line against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. The pair will then become rivals at Elimination Chamber as they look to earn a shot at championship gold at WrestleMania.

During the same interview, Naomi said she “can’t retire” until former Divas Champion AJ Lee gets back in the ring.
