WWE SmackDown Star Provides Health Update After Devastating Injury

WWE’s Michin was reported to have suffered an injury during a Holiday Tour match.

She professionally competed in her last match on December 27 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she challenged Jade Cargill for the Women’s Championship, but lost.

Later, Fightful Select reported that she suffered a shoulder injury during the bout, forcing the Stamford promotion to cut short the 36-year-old’s tour.

The severity of her injury is currently unknown, meaning the timeline of her return is a mystery, too.

Earlier, Michin had updated her Instagram followers about her status.

She was scheduled to face Cargill in a singles non-title match on the February 2 episode of SmackDown. If she had won that match, she would have earned a title shot in the near future.

With her injury and unexpected return time, WWE will need to pivot and introduce a new opponent for Jade Cargill.

Michin Thanks WWE Fans For Kind Messages

Despite the injury, Michin is not letting her spirits be dampened.

She took to X to thank WWE fans and her followers for the “speedy recovery” messages, claiming that she will ensure her recovery is speedy.

Michin has been involved in a feud with Jade Cargill for a while on SmackDown.

Since winning the Women’s WWE Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event XLI, The Storm has been seen throwing her weight around backstage, including having several run-ins with B-Fab, who is an ally of Michin.

A couple of weeks ago, Cargill attacked Michin during the latter’s backstage interview, throwing her against the wall. The following week, Michin retaliated by attacking Cargill with a Kendo Stick.

The battle had certainly taken shape to be an invigorating one, but fans will have to wait for another face-off between the two wrestlers.
