WWE SmackDown Star Promises Payback After Betrayal
The July 4 episode of WWE SmackDown ended badly for one particular star.
Chris Sabin participated in a unique 8-man tag match against the Wyatt Sicks.
His team comprised four men from different tag teams, as he partnered with Montez Ford (The Street Profits), Berto (Los Garza), and Johnny Gargano (#DIY).
For weeks, the SmackDown men’s tag team division has been in upheaval, especially when it came to dealing with the Wyatt Sicks.
The Uncle Howdy-led faction returned on May 23 after about five months, taking other factions by shock and surprise.
Since then, WWE has produced weekly backstage segments showcasing the teams bantering over their struggles against the Wyatts.
The latest SmackDown match was just another attempt towards dismantling the Wyatt Sicks, but the plans went awry for Sabin and his crew.
In the closing minutes, Sabin battled Eric Rowan and, upon seeing an opportunity, went for a tag to #DIY’s Johnny Gargano.
Though he initially looked confident, Gargano backed away, leaving Sabin in the lurch. Rowan ended the match with an Iron Claw Slam on Sabin.
The betrayal did not sit well with the Motor City Machine Guns member, who appears to be out searching for Gargano.

With the WWE SmackDown men’s tag team division in disarray, it may be time for them to remain united against the Wyatt Sicks.
However, internal rivalries such as Gargano’s betrayal of Sabin might force the teams to reevaluate their approach.
