WWE SmackDown Spoilers – July 4, 2025
WWE SmackDown spoilers below.
On July 4, WWE SmackDown will revert to being two hours for the first time since late 2024. The show had been given an extra hour when Raw moved to Netflix on January 6, but what was believed to be a temporary measure has now finally been dropped.
The episode was also taped following the June 30 edition of Raw, with the company wanting to give talent and staff a break over the long-running US public holiday.

WWE SmackDown Results – July 4, 2025
WWE SmackDown featured two huge returns as matches for both Saturday Night’s Main Event and Evolution were confirmed. There are also new number one contenders for the Women’s Tag Team Championship, while Jimmy Uso grabbed a big win in the main event.
- Cody Rhodes starts the show, but he’s quickly interrupted by Randy Orton. The Viper admits he hesitated to hit the punt kick on Rhodes at Night of Champions. He said Rhodes pulled the trigger, and he respects him for it, before getting Rhodes to promise that he’ll take care of Cena at SummerSlam.
- Drew McIntyre returns.
- The returning Drew McIntyre makes a surprise appearance and tries to get the pair to turn on each other, but only gets an RKO for his troubles.
- Nick Aldis tells Charlotte Flair to go after the Women’s Tag Team Championship with Alexa Bliss and organises a number one contender match. She eventually gives in.
- Backstage, McIntyre is given a match with Orton at Saturday Night’s Main Event by Nick Aldis. Jacob Fatu arrives, and Aldis announces that he’ll team with Jimmy Uso against two members of Solo Sikoa’s faction later in the show.
- Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss def The Secret Hervice and Michin & B-Fab.
- Backstage, Nick Aldis takes one member of each male tag team on the show to form a four-man union to face The Wyatt Sicks.
- The Wyatt Sicks def Johnny Gargano, Berto, Montez Ford & Chris Sabin.
- Tiffany Stratton comes to the ring and addresses her upcoming match with Jade Cargill at SummerSlam. Stratton says she wants to defend the Women’s Championship at Evolution as well. Cargill interrupts, but Stratton says she wants to face Trish Stratus.
- Trish Stratus returns. The WWE Hall of Famer accepts the match with Stratton after an exchange of words.
- Rey Fenix & Andrade def Fraxiom.
- Backstage, Damian Priest tries to explain R-Truth’s recent actions to Aleister Black. This only increases tension between the two men. A match between Truth and Black is announced for July 11.
- Jimmy Uso & Jacob Fatu def Solo Sikoa & JC Mateo.
